Methanol Ester of Rosin

Methanol Ester of Rosin MER-3 is made by esterification of gum rosin and methanol, it is a light amber liquid resin. Can be used as a tackifier and plasticizer in various adhesive formulations.

Applications:

3.lacquers, inks, paper coatings, varnishes, adhesives, sealing compounds, plastics.

1. It is a nature resin with low odor, clarity and high refractive index, high boiling point, and good thermal stability.

2. It has excellent surface-wetting properties.

Solubility:

Soluble in esters, ketones, alcohols, ethers, coal tar, petroleum hydrocarbons, and vegetable and mineral oils. Insoluble in water.

Compatibility:

Compatible with nitrocellulose,ethylcellulose, starch, casein, chlorinated rubber,natural and synthetic rubbers, natural and synthetic resins, waxes, and asphalt，SIS and SBS. Incompatible with cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate.

Packing: Iron drum galvanized or with polyvinyl fluoride lining, Net weight 25, 50, 200Kgs each drum.
