Methyl Ester Of Hydrogenated Rosin

Methyl ester of hydrogenated rosin is a light amber and low odor liquid resin.It made from hydrogenated rosin through esterification with methanol,it has marked resistance to aging and oxidation. It is used as a resinous wetting agent, plasticizer and tackifier in finished products such as adhesives, inks, and lacquers.

Applications:

1.Used as a fragrance fixative, it is compatible with many cosmetics containing non-polar and polar ingredients, improving the adhesion and glossiness of cosmetics.

2.Fillers and sealants, adhesives for packaging, labeling, specialized tapes, etc.

3.Ink and varnish plasticizers or tackifiers.

4.Chewing gum, bubble gum, and cheese coating.

5.Fields such as soldering flux, surfactants, and coatings.

Solubility:

Wide solubility,soluble in esters, ketones, alcohols, ethers, coal tar, petroleum hydrocarbons, and vegetable and mineral oils. Insoluble in water.

Compatibility:

Compatible with nitrocellulose; ethylcellulose; chlorinated rubber; polyvinyl chloride; vinyl acetate-chloride copolymers; polyvinyl ethers; such water-soluble film-formers as casein and starch; natural and synthetic resins and rubber; asphalt; and waxes. Incompatible with cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate.
